A Pilsner Lager with hints of pineapple and a slight smokiness. We took our dry, crisp pilsner and added some grilled pineapple which really rounds the beer off nicely 5.4%
Smoked Pineapple Pilsner was chosen for the Pearl Harbor commemoration for the following reasons:
– Pilsners were the most widely consumed beer at the time. So, the troops would’ve been enjoying this type of beer on base and the surrounding area.
– Pinapple was added due to it being an iconic Hawaiian export.
– Before adding the pineapple we grilled it to add a smoky character in order to as a representation the historical images that are used to portray the Peral Harbor attacj with the most prevalent being the image of the USS Arizona engulfed in black smoke before she sank. We will never forget the men and women that fought that day for our country.
